Athletics can really help you for school in the future. When I was younger I played basketball for the first time. Just touching the ball and shooting was an ''a ha'' moment. At that time I couldn't even shoot overhand I had to shoot underhand. I knew in my head that this was going to be a sport for me to play in the future. When I first touched the basketball I didn't know how to play much, but I knew that I would learn. I felt so excited like a kid eating candy for the first time and I just wanted to keep playing. I wanted to stay out until you could see the stars shine above you. I was so lucky my father had took me to the park. I felt like my life had just started. This image connects to who I am as a student because when I first try something at school I can predict if I'll like it and that's exactly how I was the first day I played basketball. As a student I am a hard worker who will try to complete all assignments well. When I got better and older I joined a basketball league. I was a little younger then. I played at a league called the Saturday program and it was located on 103rd and Amsterdam. We did more than just play basketball. School came first. They told us to play college basketball we have to do well in our academics. I did very well when I played in this league. I was one of the top players in the league. I was mixing kids, and breaking bones in their ankles. I got good grades at the same time. This was a great moment for me. I felt like I was going to love basketball for the rest of my life. I felt like I was going to be great in the future. The NBA is calling me like a mother calling their kid for dinner. I started developing high hopes already. This shows my variety as a person, and in school I have a variety in my subjects. Like for example I am good at many subjects and in basketball I am good in many areas, and if I am not good at the area I try to get better at it. In school I want to be someone that will achieve goals and use basketball as motivation to go far in education. Basketball is a motivator to me because I know how far it can take you in education and life and how helpful it could be. You can get a scholarship for a great college for basketball so I use this as a motivation.
I started getting better in many aspects of my game. Everything started to develop. The ball starting swishing through the torn net. I felt like I was getting better and I felt like people would start laying their eyes on me consistently. This image connects to me as a student because it shows my developness in basketball that I show in school. This connects to paragraphs around it because it will start to show my game and me as a student.
I am a very good student and also I am a great athlete. I want to be a successful person in my education and hopefully make it to the NBA. School is very important and so is playing well on the court. Try to put your best in everything and try to make it to the top.
